The CRO is hiring for a Civil Rights Programs and Compliance Specialist I.

This position assists with the implementation of the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Support Services and On-the-Job Training (OJT) Services Programs for Alaska. The incumbent provides a high degree of outreach administrative support, event planning and marketing in support of these programs.

Successful contract management doesn’t end when the work is completed or final payment is received. Contract closeout is a critical step that is often overlooked by businesses eager to move to the next opportunity.

Welcome to the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) & Airport Concession DBE (ACDBE) Program! Our mission is to support the success of your DBE/ACDBE firm in partnering with the Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities (Alaska DOT&PF). To help new DBE/ACDBE firms get familiar with the program and its requirements, we are excited to offer quarterly orientation opportunities. Register here!

The DBE Reimbursement Program will end at the close of December. This financial opportunity is available only to recertified DBE firms with Alaska as their home-state certification. Eligible firms must be actively bidding on Federal Highway Administration (FHWA)-funded projects or be registered on the Bidders Registration. If your firm meets these requirements, be sure to take advantage of this reimbursement opportunity before the program ends in December.

What do you know about the Airport Concession Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE) Program?
The ACDBE Program is similar to the DBE Program. ACDBE is designed to level the playing field for small businesses wanting to do business with the Alaska DOT&PF and other agencies receiving federal funds through the FAA, and that wish to participate in contracting and concession opportunities at airports.
