The Civil Rights Office (CRO) with the State of Alaska, Department of Transportation & Public Facilities (DOT&PF) invites public comment on our Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Goal Methodology for Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) 2024-2026.

The purpose of this public comment is to give an opportunity for all Alaskans and those in the transportation and construction industries a chance to give feedback on this goal methodology. Public Comment Meeting: July 11 at 11:00 AM AKST.

Submit a 50% DBE Reimbursement for up to $2,500! Image

The DBE 50% Reimbursement Program Provides 50% of the cost you paid for work related expenses. Up to $2,500 can be reimbursed annually per DBE. Applications are processed on a first come, first served basis and are date stamped by the CRO.

Reminder: Application approval is at the sole discretion of Alaska DOT&PF CRO DBE Business Development Office.

Did you see us at Juneteenth? The Civil Rights Office attended and spoke to folks during this years Juneteenth event at Delaney Parkstrip. 

Our office had a great time talking to folks about the Civil Rights Office, the history of the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program and how folks can join the DBE program. We hope to see you at next year's event!

Heads up Southeast Alaska!!!!

Alaska Works Partnership, the DOT&PF, Civil Rights Office, and the Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee will be in Juneau, Alaska in September. Alaska Works Partnership will be hosting two day Apprenticeship Expo events to promote career exploration and hands-on learning!

Friday, September 8: Dedicated to students 

Saturday, September 9: Open to the public

National Tradesmen Day

National Tradesmen Day takes place on September 15, 2023. It calls for the tradesmen in the country to be celebrated and honored for their essential services.

From builders, plumbers, operators and electricians, these people maintain their respective industry’s services.

This day is a celebration of their various trade jobs. At any given time, there are at least 0.5 million jobs vacant in the market. The tradesmen industry has also always been one of the fastest-growing markets throughout the years.
