OJT Program Accomplishments

OJT Program Accomplishments
This year has been quite busy for the On-the-Job Training (OJT) Program. Our office worked on numerous projects, traveled Alaska, spoke at events, and so much more!

Project Numbers:

  • Trainee/apprentices approved for projects: 66
  • Trainee/apprentices hired on projects: 40
  • Trainee/apprentices classifications:
    • Laborer: 16
    • Operation Engineer: 20
    • Electrician: 1
    • Pile Driver: 3

Quality Assurance Reviews:

We traveled to eight different projects in Alaska to conduct interviews with trainee/apprentices to comply with the Federal-aid Highway Act of 1968 Section 22(a), 23 UC 140(a) and 23 CFR 230 Subpart C and D

The data gathered during a Quality Assurance Review (QAR) will help improve the integrity of the OJT program and will ensure the OJT employees are treated with respect in regard to race, color, national origin, sex, age and disability.

Here's to the new year! Our office is looking forward to working with you in 2023!

Happy New Year!
