Please join us in welcoming Erica Garcia to the Alaska DOT & PF Civil Rights Office. Erica was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska, and graduated from Dimond High School. She has been a proud State of Alaska employee since 2017 and previously worked at the Alaska Psychiatric Institute, Shared Services of Alaska, and Department of Public Safety. Erica is a great addition to the team, and she looks forward to continuing the mission of the department of transportation to Keep Alaska Moving, and specifically to work to ensure equal access and opportunity for all Alaskans. |

As an Alaska DOT&PF certified DBE firm, the Supportive Services 50% Reimbursement is available! The DBE 50% Reimbursement Program Provides 50% of the cost you paid for work related expenses. Up to $2,500 can be reimbursed annually per DBE. Apply today by completing the application below.

Applications are processed on a first come, first served basis and are date stamped by the CRO. Please complete the application and submit the supporting documents. Applications must be submitted with all required supporting documents outlined in the application. Applicants will be notified if the application is incomplete and will be required to submit all supporting documents for the application to be considered for reimbursement.
Approval of applications is contingent upon:
- Funds available
- Qualified DBE firm or On-Site Representative
- Only certified DBEs, whose home base certification is the state of Alaska, are eligible to participate in the 50% Reimbursement Program. DBEs whose certifying home state is not Alaska will not be eligible for reimbursement. However, out-of-state firms will continue to be eligible for all other services provided by the DBE program.
- Qualified training or assistance program(s)
- Completed application with supporting documents

The Civil Rights Office has received many phone calls concerning the phishing email that you received last week concerning the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Annual “No Change” Declaration from a sender portraying to be from our office.
"Phishing" is the most common type of cyber-attack that affects organizations. Phishing attacks can take many forms, but they all share a common goal to fraudulently get individuals and business owners to share sensitive information such as tax returns, login credentials, credit card information, or bank account details
Based on the phone calls received, it sounded like this imposter had previously sent you a similar email to try to trick you to send them your contact information and tax returns. Please see the copy of the email referenced below.
All emails concerning DBE Certification will come directly from the Civil Rights Office staff. When in doubt, please contact the Civil Rights Office staff before clicking on the link or download the attachments.
