Dear CBHTR grantee,
State of Alaska DBH has reserved a limited number of Hazelden Publishing Learning and Resource Center (LRC) subscriptions to support grantees in workforce development.
This is a digital subscription that is accessed by way of an internet browser. The LRC contains twenty-three best practice programs, four curricula, the Hazelden digital Article (126) and Pamphlet (37) library, and Professional Development Webinars (72). The resources are searchable and curate-able to support the way your programs are designed. All these resources are evidence-based programs or programs based on evidence-based practices (CBT, DBT, MI, TSF, MET, Contingent Management, etc.). The difference between a best practice program and a curriculum is that a best practice program will contain handouts and fact sheets and a curriculum will include exercises and worksheets.
All the resources include what we have come to expect from Hazelden: facilitation guides, quick start guides and other clinician aides that help with ease of workflow and consistent delivery of session material. Living in Balance, Matrix Model (adult and youth), Mental and Emotional Health series (severe and non-severe), and Living Skills are the four curricula included in this subscription in addition to the other content mentioned above.
Due to the limited number of seats available, we are reserving these seats for those who meet the following criteria first:
- Your agency is not already registered with Hazelden Publishing Learning and Resource Center
- One person will be the designated user per agency
- The designated user will commit to a monthly SOA DBH virtual learning collaborative that will support all LRC users to conduct teach backs about what they’ve learned from the LRC. We will hold this learning collaborative during as a virtual brown bag lunch so to not interfere with work hours.
If you meet the above criteria and would like to have someone from your agency receive a subscription and participate in the monthly learning collaborative, please email Joan Houlihan at: joan.houlihan@alaska.gov and provide DBH with their name and email address by July 22, 2024.
*Please be aware providers who are currently subscribing to the Matrix Model or Living In Balance via DBH. These subscriptions will not be renewed, as the Learning and Resource Center subscription contains more extensive resources.
Thank you!
