Monkeypox Outbreak Guidance for Health Care Providers

Please join the Alaska Division of Public Health for a pop-up webinar for health care providers on monkeypox tomorrow, Thursday, June 16, from 1:00 - 1:45 pm.

While no cases of monkeypox infection have been reported in Alaska as yet, the Alaska Division of Public Health is asking clinicians to have a high index of suspicion for possible cases. Please read this CDC Health Update for helpful updates on the clinical diagnosis and appropriate testing and treatment of people infected with the monkeypox virus. During Thursday's webinar, Drs. Joe McLaughlin, Lisa Rabinowitz, Coleman Cutchins and other DHSS experts will review the epidemiology of this outbreak and discuss what clinicians need to know, followed by a Q&A.
