AKAIMS Status Update

DBH eMemo important new for you

The Division of Behavioral Health would like to announce the AKAIMS system has reached its final phase of testing. At this stage, it is publicly available for organizations that have an approved Static IP Address to join us in testing with a phase in process. As organizations utilize the system in a variety of different configurations, it is through your assistance we will be able to test the many ways information is entered into AKAIMS. Bringing the system back on-line for this final testing phase took the efforts of many staff. The division also recognizes that as an agency, the work of data entry is just beginning for you. The decision was made to include November in the reduced data requirement for encounter notes. This is explained in further detail later in this letter. The division and the department understands the May 2021 cyber attack has caused a significant disruption in the operations of behavioral health organizations across the state. We appreciate the support and encouragement all the agencies have offered during this difficult time.
