WHAT: Alaska Medical Providers Pop-Up ECHO: Managing Patient Care with Limited Resources During COVID

WHEN: Tuesday, Sept. 21, 7-8:30 pm

This ECHO discussion and Q&A hosted by DHSS and Project ECHO will focus on managing patient care with limited resources during the pandemic, plus resources and mental health support for health care providers. Dr. Thomas Dobbs, the State Health Officer with the Mississippi State Department of Health, will be joining us to share lessons learned from his state. Topics include:

  • Hospital capacity status, effective use of hospital beds, crisis standards of care definition and discussion – Alaska's Chief Medical Officer Dr. Anne Zink and DHSS Public Health Hub Team
  • Emergency room management - Dr. Thomas Quimby, Emergency Medicine
  • Triage practices - Dr. Ken Thomas, Orthopedic Trauma and Pediatric Orthopedics
  • ICU experience and lessons learned from COVID – Dr. Julian Rojas, Critical Care Medicine Specialist
