SFY 2022 DBH Guidance Document #2 – AKAIMS Flexibilities – CORRECTED

DBH eMemo important new for you

On Friday, September 3, 2021, the Division of Behavioral Health issued SFY 2022 DBH Guidance Document #2 – AKAIMS Flexibilities which detailed the flexibilities enacted for agencies using AKAIMS as their Electronic Health Record.  This document contained incorrect information.  Specifically, the bullet regarding Contemporaneous Record Keeping as defined in 7 AAC 105.230 (d)(7) and 7 AAC 105.230 (h), was missing the word “not”.

For clarification, Contemporaneous Record Keeping according to 7 AAC 105.230 (d)(7) and 7 AAC 105.230(h) is not required during the hold harmless period.

A corrected version of SFY 2022 DBH Guidance Document #2 – AKAIMS Flexibilities – CORRECTED is attached and reflects the correct wording and intent for the Contemporaneous Record Keeping requirements.
