Section 1115 Waiver Update e-Memo - Services Allowed via Telehealth - UPDATE

Dear Provider:
Many of you are receiving the same CMS email bulletins that we here at DBH receive.    Many of these bulletins are issuing guidance on the expansion of telehealth during this time National and State Emergency.    Please understand that this is only “guidance” and DBH must work with our other partner divisions as well as the Commissioner’s office to establish protocol for all Medicaid enrolled providers. 

However, in the meantime this E-Memo outlines the current services that are allowed via telehealth per our current regulations and past guidance documents.

*Note that Family Psychotherapy both with and without patient present, Peer Support Services – Individual,  Case Management, and Short Term Crisis Intervention may be conducted telephonically as well as face-to-face telehealth.
