Rep. J.T. Wilcox House Floor

Letter from Leadership

As House Republican Floor Leader, my job includes guiding my colleagues into debate on important issues.

Last Friday, we brought a debate on tax protections, education funding and ensuring you have a stronger voice in the legislative process to the House floor. We were proud to stand up for struggling families, schools and those who want to make a difference in Olympia.

To watch some highlights of this debate, click here. You can also find an opinion piece one of my colleagues, Rep. Dan Kristiansen, wrote on it here.

I hope you have an enjoyable weekend. We will be in touch again next week.

Sincerely,
Rep. J.T. Wilcox
2nd District
Floor Leader

K-12 education

Focusing on education outcomes

You've heard us talk a lot about our Fund Education First solution this year, which focuses on K-12 education spending -- or inputs. But we are also focused on education outputs. This means accountability and better student performance.

Rep. Cathy Dahlquist, R-Enumclaw, is the lead Republican on the House Education Committee. Click here to read her e-mail update that highlights more House Republican education solutions.
