Expect compact snow and ice on roads, avoid travel if possible

(Port Orchard, WA) - Kitsap County road crews have been responding to our winter storm since yesterday afternoon. They continue to work around the clock, and are currently working on Priority 1 roads. There are new road closures, and more are expected. You can see a real-time list of road closures online. Officials are urging residents to remain at home today if possible. Less traffic on the road allows more efficient snow and ice removal operations.

The County's Inclement Weather Page is another good resource during storms. Road and facility closures are listed there, as well as helpful links to storm resources. You can also see the plowing priority map, as well as our Snow and Ice Control policy. Share the link with friends and help them stay informed. We post new information to the page as it becomes available. Please use extra care and caution when driving near snow and ice operations. Stay safe, and stay warm.
