Highlight of the Month

The MSRB has released a new edition of its Fact Book, an annual sourcebook that analyzes trading data, continuing disclosure submissions and other statistics for the $3.7 trillion municipal bond market. The 2011 Fact Book includes analysis on the 50 million trades that occurred in the municipal market over the last five years and provides key statistics unavailable elsewhere.

MSRB Introduces EMMA Mobile

The MSRB has introduced a mobile-friendly version of its Electronic Municipal Market Access (EMMA®) website that optimizes certain elements of the municipal bond disclosure site for mobile display. EMMA users accessing the site from a mobile phone will be redirected to EMMA Mobile but still have access to the full site. MSRB Makes Trade Alerts Available

Investors and others now have the ability to be notified electronically when a specific bond trades in the municipal market. For investors who subscribe, the new trade alerts will provide an end-of-day email when a particular security trades and is published on EMMA. Read more.
 

MSRB Seeks Input on Fiscal Year 2013 Priorities

As the MSRB develops its priorities for fiscal year 2013, it is seeking feedback from market participants, other stakeholders and the general public to ensure that its planning activities include the broadest-possible array of input and information to help establish regulatory and other priorities. MSRB's Long-Range Market Transparency Plan

The MSRB recently published its long-range market transparency plan to guide the evolution of its market transparency products. Included in the plan is a vision for an enhanced EMMA website as the central public dissemination hub supported by additional information, improved commercial dissemination of data and customized functionality.
 
The MSRB invites feedback on the plan to promote a collaborative, ongoing assessment. Read more.
