 Dear Parents/Guardians and Community Members,
Dogwood Elementary will be hosting Career Day on Monday, June 10, 2019! The purpose of Career Day is to expose students to a variety of careers in order to educate them and inspire them to consider their future aspirations. By preparing early, students will be more likely to be college and career ready after high school graduation.
Students in grades K-6 will participate in Career Day. However, we can’t do it without you!
We need volunteers to present during 30 minute sessions about their career. Career Day activities will occur between 9:15 a.m.-3:15 p.m. If you, a family member, or friend is interested in volunteering to share a career with our students, please complete this form by May 30, 2019.
Volunteer selection will be on a first-come basis. Bringing stress balls, pencils, or other work-related freebies for students is welcomed. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Mrs. Jamie Gadley at jcgadley@fcps.edu or 703- 262-3100. With your help, we look forward to having an engaging Career Day!
Sincerely,
Jamie Gadley
Assistant Principal
