Whether or not you are personally involved, you may come in contact with someone who has experienced trauma or who has PTSD. For example, you may live near, go to school with, or work with a person who experienced a traumatic event. Learn more:

Research at the Center
|
VA's Health Services Research and Development Service launched an innovative funding initiative, "Collaborative Research to Enhance and Advance Transformation and Excellence (CREATE)." A CREATE's interrelated research projects demonstrate that collaboration and coordination of efforts will produce new knowledge that offers a distinct advantage over pursuing individual projects separately.
The National Center for PTSD is now part of the CREATE: Evidence-Based Therapies for PTSD (EB4PTSD). Directed by Nina Sayer, Ph.D., the overall goal is to improve Veterans' access to and engagement in evidence–based PTSD treatments.
