NOTICE NO. 128, PROPOSED ESTABLISHMENT OF THE ANCIENT LAKES OF COLUMBIA VALLEY VITICULTURAL AREA

On Tuesday, May 8, 2012, TTB published a notice of proposed rulemaking in the Federal Register, Notice No. 128, proposing to establish the 162,762-acre "Ancient Lakes of Columbia Valley" viticultural area in portions of Douglas, Grant, and Kittitas Counties in central Washington.

The proposed Ancient Lakes of Columbia Valley viticultural area lies completely within the existing Columbia Valley viticultural area (27 CFR 9.74), but it does not overlap with any other existing or proposed viticultural area. According to the petition, the distinguishing features of the proposed viticultural area include its topography, soils, climate, and geology.

You may view this notice, the petition, and any comments received about this proposal on the Regulations.gov Web site within Docket No. TTB-2012-0003. Submit comments electronically using the Regulations.gov comment form for Notice No. 128, or see instructions within the notice for postal mail or hand delivery submissions. Comments are due on or before July 9, 2012.

RSS Feeds from TTB

At TTB.gov, we now offer RSS feeds. RSS, an acronym for Really Simple Syndication, is an easy way to get the news you want whenever it is updated, even if you are not on our Web site.

The information delivered through RSS is called a "feed" and allows users who subscribe to keep updated on frequently changing content. RSS employs an XML (or eXtensible Markup Language)-based structure that includes a title, date, brief description, and a link to the full text of content.

Feeds can be read through a program called a news reader or aggregator. There are many such news readers or aggregators available, and they can be found in many locations on the World Wide Web.
