The purpose of the event is to honor and acknowledge small businesses that have persevered and excelled in challenging economic times, acknowledge the contribution of small business advocates and provide information about sources of capital for business start-ups and expansion and provide an introduction to government contracting.

Financing for Your Business - Workshops will provide a choice of Financial Access Workshops to help small business owners identify sources of capital and prepare their business financials for loan applications. Both traditional and alternative sources of capital and small business financing will be addressed. Information about a variety of financial options will be provided ranging from micro loans to major financing. 

Loan Workshops will run consecutively in the same room.

  • Other Options for Financing
  • Contract Financing

10:30 a.m. - Large Loan – for those needing to borrow $250,000 to $5 Million

Topics Covered:

  • What you will need: business plan, good credit, assets, three years financials and tax returns
  • Types of Loans and The Lenders Who Make Them
    - SBA 7(a) Loan - Presentations from two local bank representatives
    - SBA 504 Loans - Presentation from a local Certified Development Company Representative
    - A presentation from a Credit Union representative
  • Large Equipment Financing
  • Finding the Right Lender to Grow Your Business

9:30 a.m. - Credit "Fix It" Track - Workshops providing Strategies to improve and repair credit will be offered. These workshops will be offered consecutively in the same room.
