Vermont exporter can win $10,000
Vermont small business exporters have a chance to win $10,000 by entering the 2013 SBA-Visa Export Video Contest.
The Small Business Administration and Visa are cosponsoring the contest, which runs from Feb. 25 to April 5, to inform small businesses about the advantages of exporting and increase awareness about government assistance available to exporters.
Prizes awarded will be $10,000 for first place, $8,000 for second place, $6,000 for third place, $4,000 for fourth place and $2,000 for fifth place.

SBA to expand access to loans
Borrowers and lenders of loans backed by the Small Business Administration will have greater access to capital and less paperwork as a result of a proposed regulation aimed at streamlining the SBA application process.
The proposal will also strengthen oversight and the integrity of the agency’s loan programs.
