West Virginia District Office

The SBA West Virginia District Office will be participating in the fourth annual Dynamic Networking for Small Business (DYNET) Conference on Wednesday March 27, 2013 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Robert H. Mollohan Research Center 

This conference will educate small businesses on how to do business with the federal government. Many workshops and presentations are planned. Click here to learn more or register today!

  • Uncle Sam Wants You: Government Contracting 101 - Room 248
    10:30 a.m. to 11:20 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 2:50 p.m.
    Presented by RCAC & SBA
    This workshop is an introduction to doing business with the federal government. The federal government is the world’s largest purchaser of goods and services. The overview workshop includes: What & How the Government Buys, Getting Registered, and certificatied.
  • Registering as a  Veteran Owned Small Business - Room 248
    1:00 p.m. to 1:50 p.m.
    Presented by RCAC & SBA
    Being a veteran counts in contracting opportunities with the federal government.  Learn step-by-step what you need to know in order to increase your visibility as a veteran owned business.
  • SBA Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB) Certification - Auditorium 
    2:00 p.m. to 2:50 p.m.
    Presented by Women's Business Center
    This session reviews eligibility for the Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) and Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned Small Businesses programs (EDWOSB), how to apply and what documentation is required to be eligible for federal contracts which are set-aside for WOSB/EDWOSB. 
  • Show Me The Money: Securing Lines of Credit – Auditorium
    1:00 p.m. to 1:50 p.m.
    The SBA will moderate a  panel of three lenders who will talk about the nuts and bolts of securing lines of credit.A superior line of credit can offer fast, easy access to funds whenever you need them.
