How to Get 8(a) Certified

Are you interested in obtaining the 8(a) Certification?

Named for Section 8(a) of the Small Business Act, this program was created to help small and dis-advantaged businesses compete in the marketplace. It also helps these companies gain access to federal and private procurement markets. Come and learn about the 8(a) Program and how this certification can benefit you and help secure contracts with the federal government.

This workshop will provide you with information on:

  • Program eligibility and compliance requirements
  • Tips for completing the 8(a) application
  • Benefits of becoming 8(a) certified
  • How to market to federal contracting officers
  • Resources the PTAC can provide
  • Resources the SBA San Diego District Office can provide
