2012 Kentucky SBA Lender Awards
In FY2012, the Kentucky SBA District Office and its lending partners had 678 loans for over $167 million. This included 411 SBA 7(a) loans, 60 SBA 504 loans and 207 microloans. Recently, the Kentucky SBA Lenders Association held its annual conference to recognize SBA lenders, Resource Partners (SBDC, SCORE and Women’s Business Center), credit unions and economic development organizations across Kentucky.
Lender awards were presented for SBA loan numbers and dollars to the most active community and national/regional banks, certified development company/504 lender and microlender categories. Top National/Regional Lenders include The Huntington National Bank (Gold), U.S. Bank (Silver) and JP Morgan Chase (Bronze). Top Community Lenders include Community Trust Bank (Gold), Stock Yards Bank (Silver) and Traditional Bank (Bronze). The top 504 lender was Capital Access Corporation, and the top microlender was Community Ventures Corporation. The SBA Kentucky District Office also acknowledged eight individual loan officers for their achievements and named them to the 2012 SBA All-Star Team (photo below).
Kathy Pleasant, SBA Loan Specialist at Fifth Third Bank and President of the Association, thanked the sponsors for this year’s event as well as those who participated.
McClure Promoted to Oversee GA Lender Relations
John McClure, Lender Relations Specialist for the SBA Kentucky District Office for the past two years, accepted a promotion as SBA Lead Lender Relations Specialist for Georgia in November 2012.
John has been a tremendous asset to the Kentucky District Office and to lenders across the Commonwealth, and he is already missed in Kentucky. True to form, John has hit the ground running in Atlanta, and those who know him are confident that he will do an equally tremendous job for the Georgia District Office and SBA lenders in the Peachtree State. Join us in wishing John well in his new role.
