Encore Entrepreneur Mentor Day Draws Thousands
AARP and SBA hosted National Encore Entrepreneur Mentor Day across the country to help individuals over the age of 50 learn more about entrepreneurship opportunities. More than 3,000 individuals participated in 63 events held among District Offices, Small Business Development Centers (SBDCs), SCORE chapters, and Women’s Business Centers (WBCs) where attendees received hands-on mentoring and met with business owners.
As part of the initiative, the Office of Entrepreneurship Education created a free online course which serves as a guide for encore entrepreneurs for starting and running a small business, financing and more. A virtual concierge is also available to help encore entrepreneurs understand where to find additional information on sba.gov.
The Office of Entrepreneurial Development extends its appreciation to SBA’s District Offices, WBCs, SBDCs and SCORE chapters for your commitment in assisting encore entrepreneurs as our efforts continue.
