Funding Sources for your Business--Portland

What is SAM? -- Bangor

In order to do business with the Federal Government you must register your business through SAM, the System for Award Management.  Learn how to navigate through the process and what's required in order to successfully complete your registration and begin competing for contracts with the world's biggest customer; the U.S. Government.  This workshop is hosted by Eastern Maine Development Corporation, 40 Harlow Street in Bangor, and will be held on Thursday, November 1 from 8:30 to 10:00 AM.  There is no charge to attend this event.  For more information, please call Melissa Gerety at 207-942-6389 or e-mail 

Hancock County Business Conference and Trade Show; One of the Governor's Conferences on Small Business & Entrepreneurship-- Ellsworth

Discover a wealth of practical information to help your business grow and prosper at the Hancock County Business Conference and Trade Show.  This exciting and informative event will be held on November 1st & 2nd at the Ramada Inn in Ellsworth.

On Thursday, November 1, the kick-off event is a Pre-Conference "Business After Hours" from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Ellsworth Ramada Inn.  This event is co-sponsored by all Hancock County Chambers of Commerce to celebrate Hancock County's entrepreneurial spirit and  to highlight the vital contributions that our small businesses make to the economy. 

On Friday, November 2, The Honorable Governor Paul R. LePage will provide welcoming remarks at 8:45 AM, with workshops, trade show and networking opportunities starting at 9:00 AM and lasting throughout the day.  SBA staff and Resource Partners are participating in the conference and will be on-site throughout the day to answer your questions about business financing and technical assistance that the SBA provides.
