Follow Your Dream to Small Business Ownership

LITTLE ROCK – The U.S. Small Business Administration Arkansas District Office (SBA), the Arkansas Small Business & Technology Development Center (ASBTDC), and the SCORE Business Counselors, will team up November 9 to host the Arkansas Salute to Veterans Mentor Day.  The event is targeted to veterans and military personnel who are interested in small business ownership.

According to the most recent U.S. Census Data, veteran-owned firms represent 9% of all U.S. firms. These 2.45 million veteran-owned businesses employed over 5.8 million individuals. Transitioning service members are natural entrepreneurs, possessing the training, experience, and leadership skills to start businesses and create jobs.

WHAT:         Representatives from SBA, SCORE, the ASBTDC, and SBA Microlender
