AARP, SBA Targeted Entrepreneurs 50+ with First National Encore Entrepreneur Mentor Day

SC's Encore Entrepreneur Mentor Day event

On Tuesday, October 2, SBA and AARP teamed up to present the first National Encore Entrepreneur Mentor Day--a day to recognize and encourage entrepreneurs 50 and over. As part of Encore Entrepreneur Mentor Day, the SBA South Carolina District Office partnered with AARP South Carolina to present Retirement Reimagined: Starting a Business as a Second Career at the AARP's state office in Columbia.

The highlight of the Retirement Reimagined event was a two-hour long entrepreneur-mentor matchmaker. Using a speed-dating style format, the matchmaker helped attendees connect with successful entrepreneurs and small-business experts to find the resources, ideas and advice they needed to build and grow their own businesses.
