In honor of National Encore Entrepreneur Mentor Day, SBA and AARP are holding events throughout the country to help bolster small business ownership in those aged 50 and above.
The St. Louis event is titled “Meet Your Encore Entrepreneurial Neighbor – Start A Business – Why Not Now?” and will be geared toward current and prospective small business owners aged 50 and over. It will feature a panel of 50+ entrepreneurs who will discuss why they went into business, the support they received, and what they foresee for the future. Resources will be available to current and prospective small business owners, including information on counseling services and financing options.
This free event will feature Veteran entrepreneur Curtis Mathis of Today's Technical Solutions; Laura Bozzay of Adventures in Spice; Mary Beth Izard, Professor Emeritus, author of BoomerPreneurs, How Baby Boomers Can Start Their Own Business, Make Money and Enjoy Life, entrepreneur, and consultant; and another panelist to be named later.
Registration is required as seating is limited. Event will start promptly at 9:30 AM. Free parking, including handicapped accessible, is available.
