The Basics of Starting a Business--Rockland

Sponsored and presented by Maine Centers for Women Work and Community in conjunction with Coastal Enterprises, Inc., this 3 session training series will answer questions, discusss pros and cons of being an entrpreneur, and help you take the first steps to creating your own business.  This training is designed specifically for those in the early stages of starting a small business, and will be presented free of charge to attendees at the Rockland Career Center on Monday's, starting on September 17 from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm.  For more information, please call 207-596-2616 or e-mail

Starting Your Own Business workshop -- Portland

Export Development of Maine's Natural Resources-- Caribou

Selling to the Government-- Saco

On October 2, the SBA Maine District Office, in conjunction with the Maine Women's Business Centers and AARP Maine will be hosting a National Encore Entrepreneur Day -- Entrepreneurship Training for the "Baby Boomers."
What:  The National Encore Entrepreneur Day is designed to assist entrepreneurs and potential entrepreneurs who are 50+ start and grow their own business.
