SBA Washington Area District Director to Anchor Leadership Roundtable

Visionary Leadership - Inspiring Others to Action

WASHINGTON - On the morning of August 30, 2012, Bridget Bean, District Director for the Washington Metropolitan Area of the Small Business Administration and Acting Regional Administrator for SBA Region III will be joined by other local business leaders for a roundtable discussion about creating and inspiring leadership.
This discussion will also include Wanda Alexis Alexander, President and CEO of Horizon Consulting Incorporated.  Ms. Alexander’s decision to target cities with HUD offices resulted in growth that earned Horizon a spot on the Inc. 500 List of Fastest-Growing Private Companies in America. They will be joined by Dr. Jay Greenstein, CEO, Sport and Spine Rehab. Sport and Spine Rehab was the first multi-location practice in the US that has been recognized by the National Committee on Quality Assurance. The Moderator  will be Misti Burmeister, CEO and Founder of Inspirion and best-selling author of From Boomers to Bloggers: Success Strategies Across Generations, in which she outlines systematic ways organizations can eliminate inter-generational distractions to spark collaboration.
“It's critically important for business owners to learn from each other. There’s no more powerful and motivating way to develop business skills than to hear the stories of fellow entrepreneurs in their own words”, said Bridget Bean of the SBA. “We are fortunate that Ms. Alexander and Dr. Greenstein are so generously sharing the benefits of their experiences.  I am certain that we are in for an interesting and productive morning and I am looking forward to hearing what they have to say!”
The event will take place at the Crowne Plaza in Tysons Corner, Virginia from 7:30am – 9:30am. Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit local charitable organizations. For more information, contact Misti Burmeister at
