The Colorado District Office of the U.S. Small Business Administration is excited to present our first newsletter. The purpose of our bulletins is to notify our partners and small businesses throughout the state about upcoming events, trainings, new or modified SBA programs, tips on starting or expanding your small business, and much much more!

CAPLines Program: Rengineered to Help Meet Working Capital Needs

The new CAPLines program gives small businesses more flexibility to finance the contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders they compete for and win – both in the public and private sector.  By addressing the short-term and cyclical working capital needs of small businesses, the revolving line of credit will help small businesses manage their cash cycle, scale up and create jobs.

Have you given back to your community lately? 

Sometimes your days may become so busy there is no time to be philanthropic. We are all very fortunate to have the jobs and lives we live but often times we take them for granted. Every year the SBA participates in the Feds Feeds Families Food Drive. Last year our office donated 200 pounds, this year we are ramping up our goal to 300 pounds! The SBA is encouraging all of you to take a second out of your day to make a difference in someone’s life. Gather your office and choose to volunteer, donate, or even participate in a silent auction. Being impactful to your community will make a difference in your life and workplace.

Recent SBA Lending Activity

The SBA guaranteed 760 7(a) loans amounting to $269.7 million.

The Colorado District Office announced Wells Fargo Bank ranks as the largest lender to small businesses so far this year. Wells Fargo has made 158 loans for a total of $51 million.
