Bullying can harm kids’ physical and mental health, but you can play a role in preventing it. Talk to your kids about bullying before you see signs of a problem.

Protect kids from bullying.

In 2011, 1 in 5 high school students was bullied on school property. It can happen anywhere – cities, suburbs, rural towns, or even online.

Parents, school staff, and other adults can work together to help prevent bullying. It’s important to:

Encourage kids to speak to you or another trusted adult if they are bullied, or if they see others being bullied.
