The National Resource Directory's Employment section connects you to resources that can help you find a job. You'll also find information about job training, career counseling, laws that protect your rights as a job applicant and employee, and how to apply the skills you learned in the military to a civilian job. This section of the National Resource Directory is broken out into the 3 main areas listed below.

Resources for Employers & Veterans Employment Service Providers

This section of the National Resource Directory is geared toward employers interested in welcoming talented and skilled Veterans into their companies. You'll find information about recruiting and employing Veterans, where to find job candidates and workplace accommodations and supports that can help employees succeed in the workplace.

Some examples of the resources you’ll find in this section of the National Resource Directory are:

  • Hire A Hero - Military Employment Community Network, which offers an online military community for Veterans, employers and volunteers to help Service Members and their families find a job 
  • CareerOneStop Military Transition, with information about where and how to recruit and hire qualified Veterans
  • The Job Accommodation Network, which offers free consulting services for all employers, regardless of the size of an employer’s workforce. Services include one-on-one consultation about the accommodation process, accommodation ideas, product vendors, referral to other resources and Americans with Disabilities Act compliance assistance.
