2013 Summer Regional Meeting Update

NIST MEP will host two regional update meetings in Denver and Philadelphia this summer. We anticipate that centers from the Pacific Northwest, Southwest and Midwest will be interested in attending Denver and centers in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and Southeast will be interested in attending Philadelphia based on locations, however, both meeting are open to all. In conjunction with the Summer regional meeting in Denver, NIST MEP will also be holding the Advisory Board meeting on June 24, 2013. This meeting is open to all interested in attending.

Throughout the year, NIST MEP hosts regular update meetings for the MEP system including center leadership and other relevant staff to discuss the status of the MEP system, changes in manufacturing, and how best to position the MEP to provide these services going forward. It is critical for NIST MEP to focus on growing the capacity and skill set of the MEP system in order to meet the demand for services and the changing needs of the manufacturers in responding to expanding global competition. These meetings provide MEP with the opportunity to ensure center staff are educated and aware of the latest tools, topics, and goals of the MEP system.
Each meeting will begin at 8:00am on Day 1 and conclude by 2:30pm on Day 2. Some of the topics that will be covered include:

  • Overview of the NIST MEP Strategic Plan
  • Update on the MEP System Collaboratory
  • Center and Project Impact Analysis
  • Knowledge Management
  • Market Industry Analysis & Outlook
  • Panel Discussion: Engaging a CEO in Transformational Dialog

These update meetings are open to all Center staff. The intent of them is to provide an opportunity for all levels of the organization to gain a better understanding of the activities occurring within the MEP system. See below for location and venue information. As soon as the room block and registration for these meetings are open we will send out a system-wide message.
