The National Institute of Mental Health, together with the Research Task Force of the National Action Alliance for Suicide Prevention, is seeking input on the development of a National Suicide Research Agenda. We recently released a National Institutes of Health Request for Information (RFI) entitled A Call to Identify Key Methodological Roadblocks and Propose New Paradigms in Suicide Prevention Research.
This RFI is an opportunity to share your thoughts about the best ways to bring about rapid advancements in those domains of suicide prevention science with the greatest potential to reduce the societal burden of suicide attempts and deaths. Please feel free to forward the RFI web link to your colleagues.
We look forward to studying your responses to this RFI, and we encourage you to submit your ideas to the RFI email box at RBSuicideResearch@nih.gov. This RFI is scheduled to be open through April 27, 2012.
Sincerely,
Jane Pearson
On Behalf of the Research Task Force Co-Chairs, Tom Insel and Phil Satow
