Job Summary:
As a Program Specialist in the Leasing Division, incumbent will provide administrative support to all Division Programs. Under the supervision of the Leasing Division Director and Deputy, incumbent will work with considerable latitude for taking independent action as required. Incumbent is responsible for advising supervisor of the status of specific assignments and informing of matters requiring personal attention. This position is located in the Public Buildings Service, Leasing Division (2PR), New York, NY. The Leasing Division is responsible for providing space for federal customers either in federally owned facilities or through the acquisition of leasehold interests. The Division establishes customer requirements, negotiates occupancy agreements with tenant agencies, maintains a tracking system for space assignments and billing, and markets and outleases vacant space. The Leasing Division conducts competitive procurement processes, which include the negotiation of highly complex lease transactions. The Division also handles the administration of all leases in the inventory, including changes in ownership, modifications to lease contracts, effecting operating rent increases/decreases and processing tax adjustments.
