Job Summary:

As Realty Specialist, you will work on a wide range of duties to support agency real estate activities that contribute to the overall optimum productivity, effectiveness and efficiency of the regional GSA realty services program operation. This position is located in the Public Buildings Service, Leasing Division (2PR), New York, NY. The Leasing Division is responsible for providing space for federal customers either in federally owned facilities or through the acquisition of leasehold interests. The Division establishes customer requirements, negotiates occupancy agreements with tenant agencies, maintains a tracking system for space assignments and billing, and markets and outleases vacant space. The Leasing Division conducts competitive procurement processes, which include the negotiation of highly complex lease transactions. The Division also handles the administration of all leases in the inventory, including changes in ownership, modifications to lease contracts, effecting operating rent increases/decreases and processing tax adjustments.
