The U.S. Department of Education is hosting an open house on Friday, January 18 from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM.  The open house provides the opportunity for visitors in town for the Presidential Inauguration to learn more about the Department of Education.  The open house will feature an open exhibition with Department of Education staff sharing information and answering questions about their work; a short speaking program including policy overviews; and breakout sessions led by senior Education officials.  Secretary Arne Duncan will deliver remarks to attendees.  The open house and speaking program will not be live streamed.


Where: U.S. Department of Education, Barnard Auditorium and Training Center

Address: 400 Maryland Avenue SW, Washington, DC

Directions: Enter through the Maryland Avenue entrance. Nearest Metro stop is L’Enfant Plaza
