Many ED-Green Ribbon Schools use an inquiry-based approach that allows students to engage with the environment, sustainability, and their community through real life application. 38 state authorities have indicated that they intend to nominate schools to ED. State education agencies should indicate their intent to nominate schools in an email to firstname.lastname@example.org by August 30th. Schools cannot apply directly to ED and must be nominated by their state education agency. State participation is voluntary and may depend on hearing from interested schools.
Project Based Learning University is a series of five free online two-week classes and a capstone Project Based Learning certification course featuring Common Core aligned projects that teachers may customize and implement while receiving support from an experienced PBL facilitator and the online community.
