34 States have Indicated their Intent to Nominate Schools for ED-GRS 2013

34 state authorities have indicated that they intend to nominate schools to ED.  State education agencies should indicate their intent to nominate schools in an email to green.ribbon.schools@ed.gov by August 30th.  Schools cannot apply directly to ED and must be nominated by their state education agency. Their participation is voluntary and may depend on hearing from interested schools.

Where do I obtain information on ED-GRS applications?

Inquire with your state authority if you are interested in applying for its nomination.  Most states will publish their selection processes in early fall.  Remember that your school must apply through an eligible nominating authority as listed in the award criteria. Each authority may nominate between three and 14 schools.
