Schools Go Green from Hawaii to DC.

More than 20 states, the District of Columbia and the Bureau of Indian Education have launched contests to select schools to nominate to U.S. Department of Education in the pilot year of U.S. Department of Education Green Ribbon Schools. Find an application for the nomination in the state where your school is located here.

 

Green Ribbon in the Huffington Post: “Where Sustainability Meets K-12 Education

In just a few weeks in Denver, a conference that's leading an important national movement will take place. This movement has mostly so far flown under the radar; the Green Schools National Conference on February 27-29 will change that…What's different this year, the second annual event, is that we'll be joined by none other than President Obama's Secretary of Education, Mr. Arne Duncan.
