The mission of the U.S. Labor Department's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Regional Offices are to ensure safe and healthful working conditions for working men and women; serve as a principle point of contact between the OSHA and cognizant labor, industrial, business, State government, local and public interest sectors in the identification, explanation, and defense of Occupational Health and Safety programs, and in their implementation; as well as, provide technical and programmatic assistance on specific operational problems; and ensure the efficient and effective management and direction of Regional administrative and program efforts.
