Job Summary:
The Department of Labor (DOL) fosters and promotes the welfare of job seekers, wage earners and retirees of the United States. In carrying out this mission, the Department administers a variety of Federal labor laws. Such administration requires familiarity with a wide array of funding sources that must be anticipated and tracked by the Division of Client Financial Management Services (DCFMS) within the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO). DCFMS provides critical financial management functions that support the overall mission of the Department of Labor and enable agencies to contribute to the Departments strategic goals. DCFMS has overall responsibility for the management of the Working Capital Fund (WCF) established for the operation of a comprehensive program of centralized services for the Department. In addition, DCFMS has an oversight role in budget execution for all DOL agencies and provides budget formulation support for client agencies funded under the Departmental Management appropriation. The incumbent of this position acts as a senior Financial Management Specialist in DCFMS, with responsibilities for working closely with the Budget Officer and top level staff in providing expert technical assistance and guidance that enhances the coordination and implementation of significant Departmental and OCFO financial management goals and objectives. This position has promotional potential to a GS-14. This position is inside the bargaining unit. Relocation expenses will not be paid.

Job Summary:
THIS POSITION IS PART TIME ONLY AND DOES NOT LEAD TO FULL TIME. The initial average hours per week will be 16 to 32 hours to start depending on workload. This is not a job for a person who needs full-time work or who cannot be available for work when required, including a mix of day, evening and weekend hours. This position is located in the US Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics, Office of Field Operations, Philadelphia Region, Division of Price Programs, Branch of Consumer Price Index Programs, for the Johnstown, PA Office. NOTE: Visits to residences are necessary and some evening and weekend work is scheduled. Work in retail stores must be completed during normal business hours. In addition, you must travel to the Bureau of Labor Statistics training center in Washington, D.C., up to three times during the first year for mandatory classroom training as follows: Two (2) week introductory commodities and services training. One (1) week of housing survey training, and One (1) week of advanced data collection. VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE IS REQUIRED - Driving conditions will include highway and local streets, and driving at night and in adverse weather conditions.
