Job Summary:
This position is located in an organization within the National office of the United States Department of Labor (DOL), Employment and Training Administration (ETA). The National Office is established to manage and direct all registered apprenticeship development activity throughout the Nation and encompasses activities in 6 OA Regional Offices and coordinates activities on behalf of the National OA with 25 approved State Apprenticeship Agencies. The Deputy Administrator: (a) manages and directs the work of the Regional Office, the apprenticeship staff, and our partners with State Apprenticeship Agencies; (b) serves as the spokesperson and focal point for workforce development system activities and issues within the scope of responsibility of the office; (c) brings together the staff resources of the Office to facilitate the exchange of information; and (d) coordinates the resolution of issues, and implementation of action plans as appropriate, ensuring that all Office efforts are strategically aligned in furtherance of developing an effective Registered Apprenticeship system that benefits Americas workers and employers.
