Job Summary:
This position is located within the Branch of ADP Systems (BAS), in the Division of Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation (DEEOIC), Office of Workers' Compensation Programs (OWCP). The mission of DEEOIC is developing, establishing and implementing policies, regulations and procedures necessary for the administration of benefit provisions of the Energy Employees' Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act (EEOICPA_ of 2000 (Public Law 106-398) as mandated by Executive Order 13179 dated December 7, 2000. The Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act (EEOICPA) provides compensation and medical benefits for covered workers who sustain employment related illnesses as a result of exposure to beryllium, ionizing radiation, and other hazards unique to nuclear weapons production and testing. Survivors of deceased covered workers are entitled to file claims for survivors' benefits.
