Navy Lt. Matt Reed launches defensive flares during a flight from the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower in the Arabian Sea, Nov. 21 2012. The VFA-83 and Dwight D. Eisenhower are returning to Norfolk after operating in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and maritime security.
