Army Staff Sgt. Gary Cheek assists Navy and Plaquemines Parish Emergency Management Services personnel as they prepare a man for medical transfer at Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base New Orleans, La., Sept. 1, 2012, as part of Hurricane Isaac recovery operations. Cheek is assigned to the 1st Assault Battalion, 244th Aviation Regiment, Louisiana National Guard.
