Secretary of Defense Leon E. Panetta hosts an honor cordon to welcome the Republic of Macedonia's Minister of Defense Fatmir Besimi to the Pentagon today at 10 a.m. EDT. The cordon will be held on the steps of the Pentagon River Entrance. Journalists without a Pentagon building pass will be picked up at the Pentagon River Parking Entrance only. Plan to arrive no later than 30 minutes prior to the event; have proof of affiliation and two forms of photo identification. Please call 703-697-5131 for escort to the cordon. Deputy Secretary of Defense Ashton B. Carter will deliver remarks at the Sam Nunn Bank of America Policy Forum at noon EDT at the Georgia Tech Research Institute Conference Center, Atlanta, Ga. Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Martin E. Dempsey hosts an honor cordon to welcome the Chief of Defence Forces of the Royal Thai Armed Forces, General Tanasak Patimapakorn to the Pentagon today at 11:15 a.m. EDT. The cordon will be held on the steps of the Pentagon River Entrance. Journalists without a Pentagon building pass will be picked up at the Pentagon River Parking Entrance only. Plan to arrive no later than 30 minutes prior to the event; have proof of affiliation and two forms of photo identification. Please call 703-697-4272 for escort to the cordon. Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus, Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Jonathan Greenert, and other Navy leaders will speak at the Sea-Air-Space exposition throughout the day. The event is being held at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center, National Harbor, Md. Use Pick a Day to go to a different day.
