Hundreds of volunteers from the American Red Cross assembled relief kits yesterday for Hurricane Sandy survivors, which were then delivered to the Rockaways in New York. The American Red Cross works closely with many community partners and individuals to provide food, shelter and comfort to Sandy survivors in need.

Nov. 11 - FEMA Community Relations and FEMA Corps team members canvass a Sea Bright, New Jersey neighborhood to ensure residents have applied for disaster assistance with FEMA.
Those affected by Hurricane Sandy can register for disaster assistance at www.disasterassistance.gov, or by calling 1-800-621-3362. Additionally, face-to-face assistance is available at Disaster Recovery Centers. Visit http://www.fema.gov/disaster-recovery-centers to locate a Disaster Recovery Center.
