The Forgotten Killer

USAID stands with the global community in celebration of the incredible progress made against the leading cause of death among children worldwide: pneumonia. Despite such success, one child dies every 25 seconds from this preventable and treatable disease. It is a stark reminder that we must remain determined and steadfast in our effort to achieve even greater success. The good news is that pneumonia is one of the most solvable problems in global health and we already have life-saving pneumonia prevention and treatment tools at our finger tips. Learn what these tools are on our World Pneumonia Day webpage.
