Management Competency Tool – a brief update

As you will remember, HSE, CIPD and IiP have been working together to enhance the current Competency tool to give managers the opportunity to receive 180° and 360° feedback about how their behaviour impacts on others.

With the help of more than 1,000 of you, the user testing stage of the project is now complete. The partners in the project are looking at who is best placed to publish the enhanced tool.

We’ll keep you updated on developments and the launch date.

Coming soon: website survey

You will soon get another chance to have your say about the HSE work-related stress website.  We're working on a new web survey following the useful feedback we've had from past surveys.

You don't have to wait for the survey though, please Contact us if you have any comments, issues or suggestions.

FAQ review

HSE's Stress Team is also conducting a review of the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) page on our website.  We are comparing the content with the questions answered both by HSE Infoline service and the team to ensure all of the topics are covered.

If you have any questions that you think we need to include, or questions that you get asked frequently that could usefully be added, or even comments about the current content please let us know.

Contact us or send your comments to PreventingStress@hse.gov.uk

Call for Case Studies

You may have noticed new case studies popping up on the website such as ones from John Lewis and Waitrose.

We are trying to expand the number of real life examples of solutions to tackling work-related stress.  So if you think you have a really good system in place and you’d like to share it, get in touch via PreventingStress@hse.gov.uk.

Alternatively, if you are a member of the Stress Discussion e:community you could upload your case study to it. If you’re not  a member of the e:forum you can find out more and sign up here.
