Asphalt failure causes indefinite lane closure
On OR 99E bridge in Canby
ODOT bridge crews closed the right lane of the OR 99E Molalla River Bridge just south of Berg Parkway in Canby Friday after spotting asphalt breaking away from the bridge deck.
There is not yet a schedule for re-opening the right lane. Crews are determining the appropriate repairs, which will take place as allowed by a window of dry weather.
Northbound travelers should expect significant delays, especially during the weekday morning commute. The overall structure of the Molalla River Bridge is safe. However, it is unsafe to drive on the deteriorating asphalt.
An average of 19,300 vehicles travel over the OR 99E Molalla River Bridge each day.
